Rachel McQuiggan joined the DGS staff in June 2017 as a Research Associate II. Ms. McQuiggan will be working primarily on the Kent County Groundwater and Saline Water Intrusion Monitoring Network Infrastructure Improvement Project and will oversee field tasks, including the installation of new monitoring wells, and compile geological and hydrological data within this network. Information obtained from field efforts throughout this project will enhance current groundwater flow models of the major water supply aquifers in central Delaware and will address the potential for saline intrusion in groundwater.

Prior to joining the DGS, Ms. McQuiggan worked as a Hydrogeologist at Fuss & O'Neill, Inc., and as a polarized light microscopy (PLM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) analyst at an environmental laboratory.
